Yes to spices, no to artificial flavours

Next time you open a sachet of powdered flavouring to add to noodles, stop and think what else you could use from your pantry. The sachet most likely contains at least one form of MSG and a range of other additives, artificial colours and flavours you might rather avoid.

Instead look to nature for taste. Fresh chopped herbs, powdered spices and a quality extra virgin olive oil, for example, can provide an instant healthful flavour boost to all sorts of noodles and pastas. In fact there really is no need to buy a pre-packaged noodle meal at all. And it is far easier on the wallet to buy a plain quality noodle you can add to.

You will find you can easily replicate the flavours of packaged noodles at home. Use the ingredients listing as a guide and season to taste. Just leave out all the chemical nasties along the way!
